Supersedes: New

Effective as of the date above, I hereby delegate to you, in your area of responsibility, the authority to solicit facility grant funding for the UCLA campus under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for projects that fall within the President’s authority, as specified in the Interim Action of The Regents, dated June 12, 2009 (copy attached). This authority does not include the authorization to accept grant funds. Approval of any specific capital project that may be the subject of such an award, including the financial feasibility for which the grant funding would be applied, shall follow standard University approval practices. Soliciting ARRA grant funds for construction and renovation of capital projects does not irrevocably commit the University to proceed with a project should an award be offered.

The authority may not be further redelegated.
