Supersedes: New

Effective as of the date above, I hereby delegate to you, within your respective areas of responsibility, the authority to solicit and execute any amendments, modifications, or renewals subsequent to the initial award for the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, Family Resiliency-Building Program (Project) provided the general intent and purpose of the program remain unchanged from those originally approved.

On March 10, 1995, the Chancellor was delegated authority to solicit and accept or execute extramural grants and contracts for research if the direct costs in one project year did not exceed $5,000,000 (UC DA 2036). This authority was redelegated to you (UCLA DA 250.10), subject to the restrictions, exceptions and instructions outlined in UC DA 2036 and the additional specified dollar amount limitations.

Because the Project exceeded the $5,000,000 limit, the President approved the initial solicitation and executed a contract on behalf of the Los Angeles campus with the U.S. Department of the Navy in the amount of $7,227,980 for a 12-month period commencing June 11, 2009.

This authority may not be further redelegated.
