Effective as of the date above, I hereby delegate to you, in your areas of responsibility, the authority to solicit and execute any amendments, modifications, or renewals subsequent to the initial award for the project titled National Center for Child Traumatic Stress provided the general intent and purpose of the program remain unchanged from those originally approved.

On March 10, 1995, the Chancellor was delegated authority to solicit and accept extramural grants and contracts for research not exceeding $5,000,000 in direct costs in any one project year (UC DA 2036). This authority was redelegated to you (UCLA DA 250.07, dated June 24, 2003), subject to the restrictions, exceptions and instructions outlined in UC DA 2036, and to the additional specified dollar amount limitations.

Pursuant to the President’s authority, the University has executed a new cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Public Health Service, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for a three-year period, commencing on September 30, 2001 in the amount of $8,063,017, for the project named above.

This authority may not be further redelegated.
