I hereby delegate to you, in your various positions and respective areas of responsibility, the authority to solicit, accept, or execute contracts and grants for research, scholarly or professional training, or for public service programs related either to research or to scholarly or professional training, including the signing of related documents as necessary. Exercise of this authority is subject to the restrictions, exceptions and instructions outlined in UC DA 2569, and restrictions that may be issued by campus directive, and the dollar amount limitations set forth in the two Delegated Authority Matrix tables below.

The dollar limits in the following matrix are applicable to all contracts and grants where:

  • UCLA is a prime awardee and the sponsor is a federal or a State of California agency;

  • UCLA accepts subawards from higher education institutions or a State of California agency for which the source of funds is an award from a federal or State of California agency.
