I hereby delegate to you, in your respective area of responsibility, the authority to negotiate and execute subcontracts with other academic medical centers using available, unrestricted gift funds to conduct clinical trials designed by a UCLA investigator for “Trial of Estriol Treatment in Women with Multiple Sclerosis: Effects on Cognition”, in accordance with and subject to relevant University policy and guidelines. Exercise of this authority is further subject to the dollar amount limitations set forth in your delegation of authority to execute clinical trial contract agreements and sub-contract agreements.

This authority applies to the designated clinical trial only and shall remain in place until the completion of the clinical trial. Authority to execute other clinical trials that propose to use unrestricted gift funds in a similar manner must be requested as a separate delegation of authority.

This authority may not be further redelegated.
