  1. UC DA 0856 (Agreements Pertaining to Purchase of Utilities Commodities and Services) to Chancellors, et al., dated 1/14/1985.
Supersedes: UCLA DA 143.02 (Agreements Pertaining to Purchase of Utilities Commodities) to Assistant Vice Chancellor Powazek, dated 3/28/2006.

I hereby redelegate to you, as Assistant Vice Chancellor, General Services, the authority to enter into and execute agreements pertaining to the purchase of utilities commodities and services.

At the November 16, 1984 meeting, The Regents approved deletion of that portion of Subsection (9) of Standing Order 100.4(dd), which required that utility agreements exceeding $100,000 per year be authorized by The Regents. The effect of that change is to authorize execution of all such utility agreements by the President under Standing Order 100.4(dd), which provides in part as follows:

(dd) Except as otherwise specifically provided in the Bylaws and Standing Orders, the President is authorized to execute on behalf of the Corporation all contracts and other documents necessary in the exercise of the President’s duties…

This authority may not be further redelegated.
