  1. UC DA 0856 (Agreements Pertaining to Purchase of Utilities Commodities and Services) to Chancellors, et al., dated 1/14/1985.
Supersedes: UCLA DA 143.01 (Agreements Pertaining to Purchase of Utilities Commodities and Services) to Vice Chancellor Morabito, dated 2/1/2006.

I hereby redelegate to you, as Administrative Vice Chancellor, the authority to enter into and execute agreements pertaining to the purchase of utilities commodities and services.

At the November 16, 1984 meeting, The Regents approved deletion of that portion of Subsection (9) of Standing Order 100.4(dd), which required that utility agreements exceeding $100,000 per year be authorized by The Regents. The effect of that change is to authorize execution of all such utility agreements by the President under Standing Order 100.4(dd), which provides in part as follows:

(dd) Except as otherwise specifically provided in the Bylaws and Standing Orders, the President is authorized to execute on behalf of the Corporation all contracts and other documents necessary in the exercise of the President’s duties ...

Any redelegation shall be in writing with copies to me and those listed below. This delegation is being reissued due to an organization change and no substantive changes have been made to the delegation being superseded.
