Effective as of the date above, I hereby delegate to you the authority to execute Work Orders associated with Construction Work Order Agreements (CWOA) for approved projects within your respective areas of responsibility and other projects which may be specially assigned, with total individual Work Order costs not exceeding $500,000. I hereby delegate to Director Markham the authority to execute CWOA for approved projects with total costs not exceeding $1,000,000. Exercise of these authorities is subject to the following restrictions:

  1. Execution of a Work Order for a project shall not cause the total cost of the project (including site clearance, building construction, exterior utilities, site development, A&E fees, campus administration, surveys & tests, special items, construction contingency, and group 2 & 3 equipment) to exceed the approved capital improvement budget.
     
  2. Issuance of individual Work Orders shall comply with the requirements specified in the corresponding CWOA.

Subject to the requirements in the UC Facilities Manual, you are also authorized to negotiate and execute change orders to Work Orders for approved projects within appropriated funds. Directors Markham and Sisneros are authorized to sign notices of completion in the name of the Corporation.

Any modifications to approved CWOA or Work Order forms shall be coordinated and approved by the Capital Programs Contracts Administration unit.

This delegation is being reissued due to an organization change and there are no substantive changes to the delegation being superseded. This authority may not be further redelegated.
