Effective as of the date above, I hereby redelegate to each of you within your respective area of responsibility the authority to approve exceptional faculty recruitment allowances up to $100,000 per recipient in accordance with the Faculty Recruitment Allowance Program (reference b., above) and the Delegation of Authority letter (reference a., above) to approve exceptional housing allowances in excess of the maximum amount (published annually in the Academic Salary Scales). Exceptional faculty recruitment allowances greater than $100,000 per recipient will require approval by the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President – Academic Affairs.

I also delegate to each of you the authority to approve exceptions on a case-by-case basis to the eligibility requirement 2-year rule for participation in the Faculty Recruitment Allowance Program (see APM-190, Appendix E, D.1), which states in part:

"Eligibility for the Faculty Recruitment Allowance Program is restricted to faculty who are within two years of appointment to a campus in the following eligible titles: ..."

This authority may not be further redelegated.
